During the first hour Kristina Strohmayer, who is a Feldenkreis practitioner, will lead a one-hour Feldenkreis session.

IMPORTANT! Wear warm, loose and comfortable clothes, which will not disturb breathing and movements.
BRING a yoga mat and a towel, to place under your head.

During the second hour we will reflect and discuss on this bodily activity, in relation to how it can help a design process.

Slow walk in the KTH forest to reflect on our bodies. We will introduce a type of method for reflecting on our bodies and the surrounding space, by taking a slow walk in the forest.

09am-10am: We will go back to the room 4618 and create an individual collage with various materials, aiming at depicting the experience of the walk in the forest.

Lecture "Soft, embodied, situated & connected: enriching interactions with soft wearables" by Oscar Tomico.

Oscar Tomico Plasencia (M) PhD and Head of Studies of the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design. Trained as an Industrial Engineer specialized in innovation processes in design engineering, he currently heads the Industrial Design Engineering Bachelor's Degree at ELISAVA, he co-directs the Design for Emergent Futures Master Program in collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Architecture, and he is Assistant Professor and part of the Wearable Senses Lab at Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on how to design, develop, produce and deploy Soft Wearables (clothing and textile-based accessories that incorporate smart textiles and soft electronic interfaces). Communication and dissemination activities in his area of research include co-organising events like the Smart services, smart production, smart textiles debate in the Disseny Hub (Barcelona, Spain, 2016), Crafting Wearables breakout session in The Future of Fashion is Innovation (MoBA, Arnhem, 2013). Tomico has curated exhibitions such as the Systems Design – Eindhoven School at Design Hub Museum (Barcelona, Spain 2012) and the ‘Speculate, collaborate, define – textile thinking for future ways of living’ exhibition at Textile Museum (Borås, Sweden, 2017).

Be there at 9am to prepare! The exhibition starts at 9:30.

Bring a poster and the prototype. The prototype should be focused on providing a realistic experience of the concept, as if it existed. Visitors should experience and "feel" the interaction. You can use various media for conveying the experience, ranging from fictional product catalogues to material samples.
