Har du frågor om kursen?
Om du är registrerad på en aktuell kursomgång, se kursrummet i Canvas. Du hittar rätt kursrum under "Kurser" i personliga menyn.
It is good if you read many papers. That is how you learn! You might want to use keywords commonly associated with quantitative methods, such as survey or questionnaire.
zahra- try checking out medical journals as they're likely to use quantitative methods. When in doubt- try BMJ (British Medical Journal). You can find all sorts of things about human association to modern media in there.
How do I find the impact factor? Thomson Reuters' Web of Science seems to be a login-only service.
KTH subscribes to the service. The staff at the library will help you get started.
Can I take for granted that the impact factors under "Course wiki --> Journals" are correct?
I can't seem to find an impact factor for 2013 for the journal IEEE - Computer Society (which has a listed impact factor of 1,470 under "Course wiki --> Journals").
These impact factors are from last year's course, so they might have changed slightly. I have looked for the journal, but I actually think it is called Computer.
Sorry but there are people (like me) who can not go to the library today, could you please share directives to access the service on Thomson Reuters?
Thank you
If you choose a journal from Scopus, that can't be found in JCR, is it okay to choose a journal with a SNIP or SJR value over 1? Or is it possible to convert the value somehow?

Oscar: It cannot be converted. You need to stick to journals with impact factor. This is the most established measure for journal quality.
Thank you!
Hey.
Are we supposed to read all the text and reflect them before friday or are we supposed only to read the book that is linked under "Seminar"?
Read both, but if you need to, read the one linked under the seminar more carefully, since you will discuss it in detail next Wednesday.
Then these four question about Russel's essay are to be answered in the blog post within friday, am I right?
Yes :)
Perfect thank you for clarification!
In order to promote diuscussion, do direct responses (of good quality) to comments on your own blog count?
