Advanced Technical English is intended for students who are already very proficient in English and have received a high score on our online proficiency test. The goals of the course are to improve writing skills in a variety of genres, broaden vocabulary beyond the most frequently used 3000 words of English, and develop strategies for effective oral communication in a variety of situations met by practicing engineers. The course meets on Monday evenings across periods 1 & 2 or 3 & 4. Applicants must take the placement test, which can be found at the course homepage, well before the course starts.
