Today we will be working practically with developing Use Cases focusing on the UML diagrams that give the Use Cases more structure and consistent documentation.

There are quite a few UML Tutorials available on the web. USed in combination with the UML Reference Manual, they can provide some hints on how to work with the Use Cases. See for instance here, for a Class Diagram Tutorial, and here for a Sequence Diagram tutorial.

Similarly, there are quite a few "free" tools to use for drawing UML diagrams, some are very advanced since they allow you to link it to code development, while others are simple, basically being only drawing tools. Microsoft Visio works nicely, if you have access to the Microsoft office suite, otherwise you may try Visiual paradigm's free demo here, or just Google for options.
