This course gives an introduction to channels of communication in science, technology and medicine. It discusses scientific publishing, provides an introduction into citation databases used for quantitative evalutation of publications and the field of bibliometrics. It is valuable for any student planning on pursuing a career with the university as a researcher or teacher.
