About the conference
The MID doctoral student conference will this year be held on the 16-17th of May (2013) and is a part of the doctoral programme in Mediated Communication. It is organised to give each PhD student an opportunity to present their work for fellow students and senior researchers at the department. Each PhD-student will send in an short paper two weeks before the conference that will be presented and also discussed with a senior researcher (and the rest of the audience).
These pages will be updated continously and you will soon be able to find more detailed instructions on what to submit. In order to organise the presentations and to match presentations with a senior reseacher (i.e. discustant), each PhD-student should send a title and short summary (500 words) of their paper. Apart from that, he conference will start with introduction session, so each student needs to submit a a Pecha-Kucha presentation about themselves. All the deadlines for this can be found by clicking on the link in the column to the right.
The conference also includes a number of social events, which are open to everybody at MID. Please note that the conference is mandatory for the PhD students in the doctoral programme in mediated communication at CSC.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
The organising committee consists of Marcus Nilsson, Filip Kis, Maria Svedin,Fredrik Enoksson and Pedro Ferreira.
