Project 3: Reuse part 1 - Urban Transformation

The task is to reuse, redesign and transform an existing industrial site into a new spatial and urban context with mixed-use functions in two scenarios: year 2020 and year 2040. We will investigate architecture in a lifecycle perspective, the building as a part of an overall ecosystem and the relationship between architectural form and the ability to change over time. By creating new spatial and cultural concepts, adding new programs to the area and by implementing new technologies into the urban concept, the existing structure will be converted and adapted for a sustainable future.
