Oscar Johansson: Om talet pi

Abstract

A usual constant in early mathematics is π. In this project we are going to study more about this “common place” variable and present historical approximations. This project will also explore about the mathematicians that studied π. The mathematicians that examines are Archimedes, Gregory, Leibniz, Ninakantha, Euler. We will also present a proof that π is irrationell. I also want to thank my mentor Torbjörn Tambour.
