Master's programmes
KTH offers many Master of Science programmes taught in English. Several are related to wireless technology and feature teachers who are also active researchers in the SweWIN center. The know-how, competences, and innovations developed in SweWIN will be integrated into these programmes.

The Master's studies start in late August each year. One can apply for the programs from October to January 15 each year.
The following three programs are most closely related to wireless technology:
-
Communication Systems
This programme focuses on wired and wireless network infrastructure, services and applications, and explores how the growth of the internet creates new business ideas and ventures. Students learn the fundamental design principles of networks and novel innovations such as cloud computing, internet-of-things, tactile internet, and 5G. Graduates develop secure and sustainable systems and services for the next generation. -
Electromagnetics, Fusion and Space Engineering
This programme combines a strong foundation in electrical engineering with knowledge of electromagnetic fields, how they interact with matter and how to utilise them in technology. Students specialise in Microwave Engineering, Photonics, Plasma or Space. As the programme covers both theoretical and applied aspects of the field, graduates face diverse career opportunities in industry and academia. -
Information and Network Engineering
This programme addresses the digitalisation of modern society and the rapid evolution of advanced communication systems. It covers the enabling technologies behind smart homes, smart grids, big data and autonomous vehicles. Students gain a solid foundation in data analysis, wireless communications and networking, and expertise through specialisation. Graduates lead research and development within the field.

The programme Communication Systems approaches the topic from a Computer Science perspective, while the other programmes have an Electrical Engineering focus. The wireless part of the Electromagnetics, Fusion and Space Engineering programme focuses on microwave engineering, such as antenna design and electromagnetic theory. The other two programmes focus on theory and algorithms for the different layers of the protocol stack.
