Materials Science and Engineering

The department of Materials Science and Engineering is nationally and internationally recognised for its leading research as well as for its collaborative research and innovation activities with industry partners. The foundation of the materials science discipline is the tetrahedron, which illustrates how a material's performance is influenced by the elements structures, properties and processes. Our research address and characterise the interactions between these elements.
