Title: UI/UX DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR CROSS-CULTURAL LEARNING PLATFORMS

Abstract

The effectiveness of the learning and user experience in cross-cultural learning platforms is globally questioned. The aim of this doctoral thesis is to research the UI/UX design considerations for cross-cultural learning platforms as well as the effectiveness of the experience for all stakeholders involved. This research investigates this matter from two different axons. The first one focuses on the users. As users the researcher refers to all the stakeholders using cross-cultural learning platforms; students, educators, administrators, technicians as well as the design and development teams. The second axon focuses on the UI/UX designers and how their cultural and educational background can possibly affect the way cross-cultural learning platforms are designed.
