Nzumba Marta Luamba

Nzumba Marta Luamba is studying the Msc in Interactive Media Technology at KTH as an International student. She is an Italian with Congolese origins and has studied Asian and African Languages and Culture in Turin, Italy. She worked as a language expert in Lingala in the project “Noi e le nostre lingue” (We and Our Languages), designing interactive workshops for primary and middle school students about linguistic structure in order to promote plurilingualism.

Participants in this workshop will actively guess the origins of the words and share similar experiences from their own languages and cultures. The activity concludes with a collaborative reflection on language structures and cultural connections. In an international environment like KTH, where language switching happens frequently, this workshop could help develop stronger intercultural skills while promoting an inclusive attitude toward other cultures. Everyone can participate without prior knowledge.

The workshop is open to all KTH students, with a limited number of 15 participants.

Fika will be included.

Student workshops

This is the third and last of three student workshops at the library in the autumn of 2025. The purpose is to allow students to share their knowledge with each other and meet in an informal and fun way.
