Information about bed bugs in the library
During an inspection by Anticimex, bed bugs were detected in the KTH Library. Thanks to Anticimex’s swift response, we were able to confirm that the occurrence was mainly in three armchairs in the South-East Gallery. The affected furniture have been removed and immediate measures are being taken.

The area has been secured with the help of specially trained dogs, and further actions are being carried out to ensure that the problem does not spread.
Since the library is open to the public, such incidents cannot be completely ruled out. Unfortunately, we have now been affected, but we are doing everything we can to resolve the situation and restore order.
KTH will also review routines for both action and communication in the event of similar future incidents.
During this fall, a bed bug machine will be in place in the South-East Gallery. Read more: The library is testing an innovative method to detect and combat bed bugs .
The library remains open, and we ask for your understanding of any disturbances during this work.
