Ukrainian journal archives digitally available at the library

The newly acquired material provides historical, political, cultural and social aspects of Ukrainian society during different periods and also a picture of the daily press' development from politically controlled to free journalism.

In late 2021, the KTH Library acquired access to the digitized archives for the daily newspaper Pravda Ukrainy  (1938–2014) and three local newspapers from Chernobyl: Prapor peremogy, Tribuna Energetika and Trybuna pratsi  (1979–1990). The acquisitions are linked to the ongoing nuclear history research project Nuclear waters  and the archives contain almost 82,000 digital pages of Ukrainian daily press.

The archives are accessible to anyone with a KTH account and external users can read them on site in the KTH Library.
