Research projects

Electrumlaboratory has several projects.

Sustainable sensors

The project aims to address sustainability issues in modern electronic devices. To build a new generation of biodegradable organic electronic materials and sensors. The project works on challenges in the field of disposable sensors: materials that provide stable and reliable detection in humid and moisture-rich environments and a pathway for biodegradation by specific enzymes present in the body or in the environment. The project's impact can be seen in the need for society to move from conventional electronics to carbon-based, biodegradable materials that do not generate waste, especially in areas where the device is not intended to last a lifetime, such as in disposable consumer electronics.

Project period: 2023–2027
