The KTH Innovation Award Committee

A prestigious award committee selects the recipient of the KTH Innovation Award from the submitted nominations. Together, the five members should bring diverse experience of academia, research impact, startups and innovation from a Swedish and international perspective.

The 2023 Award Committee

Members of the 2023 Award Committee were KTH President Anders Söderholm, 2022 recipient of the Award Janne Wallenius, investor Klaus Hommels, business angel Jane Walerud and KTH professor Stefan Ståhl.

About the Award Committee

The members of the award committee should have relevant experience linked to innovation and entrepreneurship and an international reach. The Award Committee has five members:

  • The President of KTH
  •  Two members nominated by donors
  • One member nominated by the Head of the Innovation Department at KTH
  • The previous year's recipient 

The first four members are elected for a period of three years. The President of KTH appoints the award committee.
