KTH Academic Orchestra (KTHAK)

KTH Academic Orchestra is a large symphony orchestra with nearly 80 members. The members are mainly teachers and students from KTH but there are also musicians from Stockholm University and Karolinska Institutet.

Most of the section leaders are professional musicians. The main task is to play at KTH ceremonies like the Graduation and Diploma ceremonies. Every year the orchestra also gives public concerts in the concert halls in Stockholm often in cooperation with The Royal college of music and Stockholm University of the arts.

Chief conductor is Director Musices Mats Janhagen .
