Seminar: Predicting the Future: AI, EO & Google Sustainability

PhD/master's students are welcome to the following seminar, where Noel Gorelick will present an overview of several Google projects utilizing ML & AI with Earth observation data to help manage climate change, disaster risk and sustainability.

Dr. Noel Gorelick is a scientist and software engineer at Google and a founder of Google Earth Engine, a planetary-scale data analysis platform used by more than 750,000 researchers world-wide. In his role as Chief Extraterrestrial Observer, he currently helps scientists, governments, and NGOs use Earth Engine to address some of society's biggest challenges like drought, disaster, disease, and deforestation.

In addition, Noel Gorelick will give an introductory lecture to Google Earth Engine to students in a GIS course, between 10-12 on May 8 at F1 (Alfvénsalen), Lindstedtsvägen 22. ALL students are welcome to attend this lecture!
