The University of Melbourne is a large and renowned university, ranked as number one in Australia and among top 50 in the world. The university has around 47,000 students with a large population of international students. It has seven campuses, most of them located in central Melbourne.

Increased costs for student visas for Australia
On 1 July 2024, the Australian Department of Home Affairs announced an increased cost for student visas for Australia. The student visa fee is now AUD 1600.00 (~EUR 1000). Australian universities are working together to highlight the impact on exchange students who plan to study in Australia.
