University of Wollongong is situated in the coastal city of Wollongong, approximately one hour's train ride from Sydney. More than 30,000 students study here, of which more than 12,000 are international. The university ranks among the top 300 universities in the world. Note: Bachelor programme within Engineeriing is four year long. It is advised to choose courses on "higher undergraduate level", ie 3-400 level courses, if applying for exchange studies there in year 4. Courses within Business are open to exchange students, must fulfill prerequisites on higher study level. An additional insurance, if staying in the country more than two weeks after the exchange studies have been finalized, is required.

Grade requirements: No. A minimum of one VG in one of the courses in English at the upper secondary school. If the leaving certificate is older than five years, a certificate from international coordinator is required to submit to the application material to the university.
