China: Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (with UM)

The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (JI) was jointly established in 2006 by two premier universities, the University of Michigan and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, creating a Sino-US academic partnership with tremendous potential.

Credit system: 1 credit is equivalent to 1,5 ECTS at Bachelor's level of study.

Note: Local insurance is required during the entire period of study, 400 RMB/semester. Summer programmes are available in July and August.

Exchange opportunities

Number of spots: 8 spots per semester
Grade requirements: Minimum 3.75 point average (on KTH's scale of 5) HSK 5 at least for attending the Chinese language Taught Course (Original test certificate required). All exchange students will have the opportunity to take Chinese language courses at the beginnings’ level.
