The School of Engineering Sciences has the following spots within the following subject areas: Physics 2 semesters, Mathematics 2 semesters, Aerospace 2 semesters and Naval Architecture 2 semesters.
Physics
There is a 5 year long Engineering Physics programme. Suitable for some of the tracks in KTH's master's programme in Engineering Physics. There are also courses in plasma and nuclear energy.
Mathematics
The programme has four areas of specialization: mathematics, statistics, applied mathematics and industrial mathematics. The language of instruction is English (if an international student attends the course).
Naval Architecture
IST offers a programme within naval architecture and it is popular for KTH's master students to go here. The language of instruction is English when there are students in the classroom who do not speak Portuguese.
Aerospace
The university has an Aerospace programme that specializes in aerospace and avionics.
