United Kingdom: Glasgow School of Art, Mackintosh School of Architecture

Founded in 1845, the GSA is one of the few remaining independent art schools in the UK and has occupied its present site in the centre of Glasgow since 1899. At the heart of the campus is the renowned Mackintosh Building one of the iconic buildings of the 20th century. The city is home to one of the UK’s largest and most vibrant, creative communities, drawn from talented individuals across the world.

Exchange opportunities

Number of spots: One full-year spot
Grade requirements: It is mandatory for architecture students that applies for exchange studies to submit a portfolio. The quality of the portfolio is evaluated by a jury that consist of the Programme Directors and a team of teachers at the School of Architecture. By reviewing the portfolio, the jury assesses whether the applicant can be considered to be nominated for an exchange spot.
