Information and coding

In this research area we perform basic research on digital communications. Our research is concerned with developing new fundamental communication strategies, identifying fundamental limitations of communication, and proving their achievability.

We use tools from multi-user information theory and coding theory have worked on a large variety of fundamental problems like communication and control, cooperative communications, interference coordination, security, distributed communication. Due to the basic nature of our research in this area, our results are typically 5-10 years ahead of standardization activities.
