Postdoc in organic chemistry (electrosynthesis)

Job description

We seek a driven and knowledgeable postdoctoral researcher to carry out method development in organic electrosynthesis in the research group of Associate Professor Helena Lundberg at the Department of Chemistry. Specifically, you will be working with catalysis, electrosynthesis and electroanalytical evaluation in research areas of both fundamental and applied character. Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree in organic chemistry, electrochemistry or closely related area. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
• Documented scientific skills in method development for electrosynthesis and electroanalytical techniques.
• Documented ability to work independently as well as collaborative in a group
• Documented pedagogical skills and experience of supervising students on Bachelor and Master level
• The ability to skillfully communicate in English, verbally and in writing, as it is required for the day-to-day work

Preferred qualifications

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
• Experience of electrochemical transformations of alcohols and thiols and their derivatives
• Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
