Students compete in Rotterdam

Published May 14, 2014

The 15-18 May students from KTH Machine Design will compete in the Shell Eco-marathon which takes place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Shell Eco-marathon is a unique competition that challenges students to design, build and drive the most energy-efficient car. At three events around the world (Asia, Europe and North America) hundreds of teams compete to travel the furthest on the least amount of energy. Some achieve distances equivalent to driving from Paris to Moscow (1 544 miles) on a single litre of fuel!

Yesterday the journey towards Rotterdam started for the two KTH Eco Cars, Sleipner and Elba , as well as for the students and other staff. Through the link KTH Eco Cars you can follow the progress in blog form. We will most certainly get back to the result in the competition. Good luck to all involved!
