Amirmohammad Behzadi

Amir is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering in the Fluid and Climate Technology group. His work focuses on designing, controlling, and optimizing smart energy systems for efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable heating, cooling, and electricity production, storage, and usage.

In 2024, Amir was recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists for the third consecutive year, as published by Stanford University and Elsevier.

Previously, Amir worked as a Research Assistant at the Smart Thermal Energy Systems Laboratory, Department of Energy, Aalborg University, Denmark. During this time, he contributed to the OffG-ReneCS project, which developed and demonstrated an off-grid, renewable-based cold storage solution for agricultural applications in India. He was also involved in the "Smart Electricity-Heat Neighbors via Integration of Heat Storage and Solar PVT Panels" project in Denmark.

Amir earned his M.Sc. in Energy Conversion from the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tehran, specializing in renewable energy supply systems, thermodynamic modeling, and optimizing thermal energy systems. His research contributions earned him the "Best Researcher Award" among all master’s graduates during the 28th Research Festival at the University of Tehran. He also holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, where he graduated as the top student in the department, ranking first among all graduates for four consecutive years.
