About me
Jagruti Thakur is a researcher in the division of Energy Systems at the Department of Energy Technology, KTH. She has a PhD in Energy system analysis and retail rate modelling from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India with a focus on energy policy for renewables in India. Previously, she was working as a project executive for GIS-based urban planning projects in India. Jagruti holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and master’s degree in Project and Finance Management. She received Bhaskar Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) fellowship from Indo US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) in 2016. During her PhD she visited Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Berkeley, California and worked at the Energy Analysis & Environmental Impacts Division with the Electricity Markets and Policy-RE Group. She has also received POSOCO Power System Award (PPSA) 2017 - Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO), India in the doctoral category, for her Ph.D. thesis, which is awarded to 15 best theses in the country every year. Her current research interests include Demand Side Management, Digitalisation of Energy, Local Energy Communities, Energy Storage, Electrification/Hydrogenation of transport sector and Energy Systems Modelling.
