About me

I have very good knowledge about machining processes with whom I’m connected since my technical high-school. I finished program Machine Tools Technology in 2000, receiving a diploma and title Mechanic Technician with a specialization in Machining. I continued this path by studying Machine Engineering, which I finished as the second the best student in the year 2005.

I completed my doctoral thesis with honors (9.668 points of 10) in 2013, on "Analysis of stereometric features of surfaces after abrasive processes with the use of the new parameters of evaluation". Since 2008 I worked as a researcher in the Laboratory of Micro- and Nano-engineering in the Chair of Precision Mechanics, at Koszalin University of Technology (KUT), Poland.

In 2015 I started my scientific journey in Sweden. Today, I'm a researcher in the Manufacturing and Metrology Systems team at Production Engineering Department (IIP), KTH. In my scientific activity I deal particularly with:

  • precision machining processes (subtractive and additive),

  • surface integrity metrology using various measurement methods, such as:

    • contact measurement methods (stylus, AFM, STM),

    • optical measurement methods (interferometry, confocal, SEM, 3D scanning, etc.),

    • measurement of the residual stresses (X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) and Magnetic Barkhausen Noise (MBN)),

  • modeling and simulation of the processes (Matlab, Comsol),

  • engineering calculations and machine learning (Matlab, and learning R and Python).

My overall goal is to develop new Hi-Tech solutions and collect knowledge that can be applied to Industrial Revolution 4.0 solutions and sustainable, robust production systems.
