Short CV
Before moving to Sweden, I studied Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen in Germany. In 2005, I received my PhD for my work on Multiplexed Immunoassays with Dr. Thomas Joos (NMI). I then joined KTH and Prof. Mathias Uhlén for my postdoctoral work with the Human Protein Atlas project.
My lab relocated to newly established SciLifeLab during 201o. I then became aDocent in Translational Proteomicsin 2011, andAssociate Professor in 2016. Since 2020, I amProfessor at KTH.
Today, I supervise PhD students and teach proteomics at KTH. My research focusses on advanced affinity proteomic methods to study the proteins that circualte in human body fluids. We use these tools and the generated data to improve our understanding of human health and diseases.
About my research
- Develop advance high-throughput and multiplexed immunoassays.
- Proteome analyis in body fluids in precision medicine.
- Discover and validate protein biomarkers.
- Interest in cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
