Om mig
Before moving to Sweden in 2005, I studied Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen in Germany, receiving my PhD for my work on Multiplexed Immunoassays. I then joined KTH for my postdoctoral work with Prof. Mathias Uhlén and the Human Protein Atlas project. In 2010, my lab relocated from AlbaNova to the newly established SciLifeLab. I became a Docent in Translational Proteomics in 2011 and Associate Professor in 2016. Since 2020, I have been a Professor at KTH, where I pursue my research, supervise PhD students, and teach about proteomics.

Circulating proteins in precision medicine
My team's primary research is focused on establishing and applying novel approaches for studying proteins in body fluids as biomarkers for health and disease. There, we work on various aspects, such as experimental study design, pre-analytical variables, microsampling techniques, immunoassay development, and integrating data to explore emerging translational possibilities. We aim to understand molecular heterogeneity and individuality to improve our understanding of the diverse phenotypes in human health and diseases. Our lab is known for contributing to various innovative and interdisciplinary research projects, each focusing on different human phenotypes, such as cancer and cardiometabolic disorders.
