Magnus Tarle

I am an industrial PhD-student within the field of machine learning at KTH (Robotics, Perception and Learning) and Hitachi Energy.

Main research interests are in reinforcement learning and power systems control. My aim is to achieve higher utilization of the power system capacity, improved power quality, and power system stability by taking advantage of modern methods of learning.

I received my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at KTH in 2005. Previous work experience includes power system analysis, power electronic converter design, and power electronic converter control.

This work is funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research and is also affiliated with the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP-AI/MLX)

Principal supervisor at KTH is Mårten Björkman and assistant supervisor is Lars Nordström.
