I am a PhD student at the Energy Technology department within the Heat and Power Technology unit and the Concentrated Solar Power group. My research focuses on the development of a cost-effective Thermal Energy Storage (TES) for Dish-Stirling and gas-driven CSP systems. Different modeling strategies and experiments are coupled in order to design and study an innovative and cost-competitive Thermal Energy Storage. The integration of the TES unit in the whole plant is further studied to enhance the system operational flexibility and its commercial viability.
I am a mechanical engineer, I studied Mechanical Engineering as Bachelor Degree and then I took my Master Degree in Energy Engineering at the University of Genoa, Italy. I started my PhD studies at KTH in August 2017.
