Exploring the high energy universe by balloon

This lecture about balloon projects to study the high energy universe was held by Marc Pearce on the 4th of April 2018.

Neutron stars and black holes are amongst the most powerful sources of radiation in the universe. A new type of telescope built at KTH has recently shed new light on these enigmatic objects. Observations are made from the top of the atmosphere using a helium-filled balloon which is double the size of Globen!
