In this course, you will gain insights into philosophy of science, scientific methodology, scientific ethics and risk analysis as well as the role of chemists and chemical engineers for sustainable development, equality, diversity and inclusion. Four main questions will be discussed during lectures, seminars and a group project:
Q1: What is science and scientific knowledge?
Q2: What characterizes good scientific methodology?
Q3: How should science be practiced?
Q4: What impact can science have?
