We will use the book 

• Biological Sequence Analysis by Durbin, Eddy, Krogh, and Mitchison

in the course, but we will also cover topics not found in that book. 

We will also touch on the contents of some papers:

• "Sequence Similarity Network Reveals Common Ancestry of Multidomain Proteins" by Song et al, PLoS Comp Biol, 2007.
