5. Quiz

There will be a quiz on Fri May 20th. The sole purpose of the quiz is to determine if you did the Redbook readings. It will consist of true/false and multiple choice questions.

Reading all the references would be way too much work. All I want you to do is read the first 10 chapters of the Red Book. All in all not so much reading, but fairly dense I suppose.

The quiz will try to simply determine if you did the readings.

Remember what we are trying to determine if you actually read the material. So for example:

T/F one of the chapters of the Redbook is titled

"Data Visualization: Routines to enable quick computation of summaries" is a chapter of the Redbook.

And then some really basic concepts that you should have picked up from the readings:

"The ANSI standard for describing isolation modes is both ambiguous and under-specified"

If you want to prepare, do the readings and think about them. Then look over the book one last time to reflect on what you read.
