Study Trip

Trip schedule from last year (it will be more or less the same this year):

Monday:

08.45: We leave the hostel and take the bus to Bremerhaven, where we will spend the whole day.
10.00: Senvion (formerly Repower). Visit of the production hall for offshore wind turbines.
11.30: Lunch (there will be some restaurants and shopping malls).
13.00: Fraunhofer, presentation of some research they conduct.
15.00: Areva. Presentation of the company and closer look at prototypes of the offshore wind turbine M5000-116.
16.30: Leaving back to Bremen.

Tuesday:

07.00: Departure in bus to Enercon facilities in Westerholt (see map).
09.00 - 10.30: Presentations of the company, sales and grid integration.
10.30 - 13.00: Factory tour.
13.00 - 14.00: Lunch.
14.30 - 16.00: Visit of the E-66 (or E-126) wind turbine.
16.00: Leaving back to the train station in Bremen to take the train to Hamburg. 

Note that:

• Students should pay for the trip to Hamburg or Bremen and be there on time.
• Students should have insurance and valid visa.
• The hostel in Bremen will provide breakfast. Lunch on Tuesday will be provided by Enercon.
