Nordström to be EU’s expert on smart grids

Lars Nordström, Director of the EKC2 Center of Excellence in Electrical Power Engineering at KTH.

When the EU Commission needed an expert on smart grids their choice was Lars Nordström, Associate Professor at KTH School of Electrical Engineering. He will be part of a working group consisting of experts who have been set various tasks including considering the needs of the individual customer.

Why did the EU Commission choose you as an expert?

“I know how IT control systems for electricity grids work, and how they must be built in order to work properly. The weaknesses and risks that affect the situation, especially as concerns personal integrity,” states Lars Nordström.
