Workshop: Prevention of Sports Related Head Injuries

On May 22, 2024, the KTH Centre for Sports Engineering, in collaboratin with SFAIM (Svensk Förening för Fysisk Aktivitet och Idrottsmedicin) and SSCS (Swedish Sports Concussion Society), will hold a workshop on head injury prevention in sports.

Our ambition

KTH Center for Sports Engineering brings together all research at KTH connected to sports and an active life style. The ultimate purpose is to improve sports training and equipment at all levels from elite practice to exercise and health; to assist in increasing participation in sports from all groups of society; and to make equipment, infrastructures and events more environmentally sustainable. We believe that sports provide challenges that may call for deep scientific investigations and lead to impactful applications of scientific research.

Research

The Center for Sports Technology provides direct access to the latest results from research for all sports along with innovation activities.

Education

The faculty of the Center are engaged in teaching courses connected to sports, such as the master’s program in sports technology.

Infrastructure

Sports require infrastructures. KTH Center for Sports Engineering has access to several facilities both at KTH and at our partners.
