New quiet study spaces now open – Ångdomen closes for renovation 12 January
On 29 January, the library opened its new quiet study area, the South Arcade, along with three new group rooms.
The South Arcade offers a total of 48 seats for quiet, individual study. During a transitional period, the area will be furnished with existing furniture. New furniture has been ordered and will replace the current furnishings sometime this year. The door to shut out noise will also be installed at a later stage.
The three new group rooms accommodate up to four people each and are all equipped with new AV technology. They will not be bookable until some time in February, when they also will recieve names/numbers. Use them on drop-in basis for the time being.
Ångdomen study area will close for renovation on 12 January. During the renovation, Ångdomen will be transformed into a study area for group work and will no longer be a quiet zone. Ångdomen, including drop in group room A, B and C (former 17, 18, 19), is planned to reopen at the end of April.
The renovation is part of the ongoing work to develop the library’s study and learning environments. Read more about the renovation
