Teknikringen 60-70

Teknikringen 60-70 offers family housing on the KTH Campus. The buildings are from the 1950's. The apartments have two bedrooms and come fully furnished. They also have a living room, a hallway with a lot of storage, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen. Laundry and garbage/recycling are located near to the apartments. There is no external storage room available and no elevator. The apartments are located either half a flight or up two flights of stairs.

The area

The building is located about a 10-minute walk from the metro station "Tekniska Högskolan", the same station as KTH Campus. There are some restaurants and smaller supermarkets in the area.

The apartments

Kitchen

Refrigerator, stove, and oven plus pots, pans and basic kitchen utensils are provided in the apartment. A couple of sets of dishes and silverware are also included, and also a dining table with four chairs.

Bedroom 1

One bed 140cm with mattress and mattress topper. Dresser, bedside nightstands, lamps and roll-down shade are included.

As a researcher you can either provide your own bedding, or you can state in your housing application that you wish to purchase a start-kit of bedding from KTH Housing.

Bedroom 2

One or two beds, depending on number of family members, each 90 cm with mattress and mattress topper. Baby-crib can be provided upon request at the time of booking. Bedside nightstands, lamps and roll-down shade are included.

Living Room

There is a coffee table, bookshelves, a sitting chairs and/or a small sofa is included. Both windows have curtains.

Bathroom  

The bathroom has a stand-in shower with a door, or a tub with a shower.

A bucket and mop are provided in the apartment. The mop cloth attachment can be washed in 60 degrees and air dried. If equipment is missing, email: housingoffice@kth.se.

Internet and utilities

Internet access is included in the rent. You will need to provide your own network cable or router. The connection is up high, by the bathroom door. If it is not working, call Bahnhof at: 010-5100000.

Garbage and recycling

Garbage chutes are located across from Teknikringen 68. A recycling room is located at Teknikringen 47. Flatten all packaging, sort and throw it in the correct bin. Signs are both in Swedish and English.

Laundry

The laundry room is located behind Teknikringen 70. You use your electronic key to book. There are both dryers and a drying room for clothes.

Keys

The key needed for the apartment is electronic and will get you into the building, apartment door, garbage rooms and the laundry. The key is used as a real key in the door, you may need to wait a few seconds before you turn it. Please make sure to make a sign for your door with your last names, so the postman can find you.
