Abstract: Developing advanced imaging biomarkers for capturing cancer imaging phenotypes provides complementary source of information which would be helpful to better assess the tumor response to the therapy. In this seminar, I will present the image processing and machine learning methods that I have employed during my first year of doctoral study. Two research projects will be presented. The first project is related to early survival prediction of non-small cell lung cancer on longitudinal PET-CT dataset. The second project has been focused on employing unsupervised models for segmentation of lung tumor in CT images and brain tumors in MR images.
