New International Immersion Experience scholarship

IIT Madras welcomes KTH PhD students (in their early stages of doctoral studies) to experience short-term research opportunities.

The International Immersion Experience is inviting three KTH PhD students per year for jointly supervised research stays at IIT Madras. The scholarship provides travel grants from Stockholm to Chennai as well as accommodation at IIT Madras. KTH PhD students will be spending 45 days and longer, but max 3 months in this program.

Detailed summary of the faculty research

IIT Madras welcomes PhD students anytime of the year that aligns with the research interests, however, it is ideal to avoid the peak summer months of May and June.

Kindly note that IIT Madras is a fully residential campus situated in Chennai, India within a National Park with abundance of nature - flora and fauna which is quite diverse and intriguing.

The Office of Global Engagement  welcomes the international students on campus and coordinates their arrival, housing and cultural experience. Most students are housed in hostels unless they prefer staying off campus.

Housing will be guaranteed on campus in the student hostels and will be fully supported by the Office of Global Engagement.
