U!Train 2025: Innovation, sustainability and connection on rails across Europe

30 students, 9 universities, 16 nationalities – one unforgettable learning journey from Darmstadt to Graz.
The second edition of the Unite! U!Train brought together students from all nine Unite! partner universities for an eight-day Blended Intensive Programme dedicated to entrepreneurship, sustainability and multicultural teamwork. Starting at TU Darmstadt and travelling by train to TU Graz, participants not only explored Europe but also co-created fresh ideas for a more sustainable future.
For Maya Herneryd from KTH, the greatest takeaway was the people:
“I got to meet around 30 students from all across Europe, which really strengthened my multicultural understanding even more. The best part of it all was the people I met. Together we managed to create an open and safe culture where we as students had the space to grow.”
U!Train was much more than a project week. It was a true European experience – 16 nationalities, countless conversations, and friendships that will last far beyond the train ride.
