Hemmet, Drottning Kristinas väg 43B
"Hemmet" means home in Swedish and is located on KTH Campus. There are larger studios suitable for couples, and smaller studios for one tenant. Each apartment has its own kitchen and bathroom. They also have a glassed-in balcony or a small outdoor space if they are located on the ground floor. There is an elevator in the building, and a small storage closet next to each studio.
The area
The building is located about a 10-minute walk from the metro station "Tekniska Högskolan", the same station as KTH Campus. There are some restaurants and smaller supermarkets in the area.
The apartments
Refrigerator, freezer, stove and oven plus pots and pans are provided in the apartment. Dishes and silverware are also included. There is one bed 90 cm in the 21 sqm apartments or 140 cm in the 25 sqm apartments. Bedside table, kitchen table and two chairs are provided.
You provide your own bedding, or you can state in your housing application that you wish to purchase a start-kit of bedding from KTH Housing.
There is a separate bathroom with shower and shower curtain.
A mop is provided in the apartment. The mop cloth can be washed in 60 degrees and air dried. Please use the proper cleaning solution needed to clean the stove. Cleaning instructions for move-out will be provided about a month before departure.
Internet and utilities
Internet access is included in the rent. You need to provide your own network cable or router. The socket is located in the wall. If it is not working, call Bahnhof at: 010-5100000. Please see the instructions posted in the entryway about setting up your new account.
Heat, electricity and water are included in the rent.
Garbage and recycling
The garbage room is located outside of the building, next to the entrance. The code to get in is the same as the front door. There are no recycling bins, you will need to take your recycling to the public bins located in the city. The closest public bin you will find here The recycling station 10 min by foot from Hemmet
Laundry
The laundry room is located on the entry floor of the building. You use the code provided by KTH Housing to get in.
Keys
We will inform you of the code to the entrance when you arrive. Do not share this code with anyone. You will receive a key to your door and storage room, and a key to your mailbox. For the doors located on the entry floor, you need to lift the door handle before the door can be locked.
Balconies
Smoking is not allowed on the balconies. Do not keep garbage bags on the balcony. Please use care when opening and closing the windows on the balcony and secure them if they are left open. For apartments on the bottom floor, please make sure your outside door is always locked, and your belongings are stored inside your apartment.
