Getting the key

When and how you get access to your housing

On the 1st of each month (or the next business day) KTH Housing staff is present at the KTH Entré desk 13.00-16.00. During summer (mid-June until mid-August) the hours are 12.00-14.00. Welcome to collect your keys, contract and ask any questions related to your KTH housing on these occasions.

If you do not collect your keys at the allocated time, they will be available for pickup at KTH Entré during opening hours. You can also pick up pre-ordered bedding and linen and collect missing kitchenware and cleaning equipment here. Contact housingoffice@kth.se before your visit to get faster assistance with your errand.

Please note that keys can only be collected during KTH Entré opening hours by the contract holder in person. It is up to you to plan your arrival in accordance with the opening hours, and if that is not possible you are welcome to collect the keys the next business day. Remember to bring your photo identification, e.g. your passport. Without an ID, you cannot collect your keys.

Date for key pick up

The date for the earliest possible key pick-up depends on whether the month starts on a regular workday or not, please check the table carefully.

Purchasing a bedding kit

Bedding and linen are not included in the rent. You can bring your own from home, shop your preferred bedding in a home supply store after arrival, or you can pre-order a bedding kit through KTH Housing before arrival. Simply select the option 'I wish to purchase a bedding kit' in your Mobility Online workflow. An invoice will be sent to you shortly after selecting this option. A kit costs 700 SEK and the invoice is available for payment in Mobility Online. The bedding kit consist of a duvet, a pillow, a fitted sheet, a duvet cover and a pillow cover. You receive the bedding kit upon arrival at KTH Entré, when collecting your keys, and it cannot be delivered anywhere else. The kit is for one person and is yours to keep, we do not want it in return. If you are coming with a spouse or family and are in need of multiple bedding kits you need to send an email to housingoffice@kth.se 

Sending yourself packages before arriving

Your name will not be on your mailbox until move-in day, so if you would like to send yourself something, we suggest asking friends or family to send it after your arrival here. The post will not be able to deliver packages without the correct name on the door. Please note that most packages are not delivered directly to your building. You will get a slip of paper in the post telling you when and where you can pick it up. KTH is not able to accept packages on your behalf before your arrival.

Problems when moving in

If your apartment is not cleaned or something is malfunctioning when you move in, please fill out the form for fault reports  and contact housingoffice@kth.se right away.
