Staying with us
We hope that you are having a nice stay in our apartments. Make sure to pay your rent on time and contact us if you need to move out earlier. Below we have also gathered solutions to some questions. We are unable to send invoices to other universities.
Paying your rent
Rent is always paid in advance and for all days up to and including the last day of the contract. There is a notification period of minimum 2 full calendar months in case you wish to cancel your contract earlier than the set end date. You must pay rent for the whole notification period.
Paying with card in Mobility Online
You will receive the invoice by email and you pay the rent with your card directly in Mobility Online. Only use the same invoice once, as each invoice has a unique invoice number.
Paying with bank transfer
If your card cannot make online transactions you need to contact rentinvoice@kth.se before making any bank transfer. You will then receive specific instructions on how to do it corrrectly. When paying with bank transfer the payment is not automatically approved in Mobility Online, and it is important that you email us first.
Problems paying
Rent is a condition for keeping the contract. If there are any delays or issues, contact rentinvoice@kth.se .
Changing your contract
Extending a contract
KTH will not extend your contract after the first year. You will need to find housing on your own. Make sure you are in the housing queues that we recommend under Finding housing on your own . We also suggest talking to friends and building a network to find new housing.
Moving out earlier
If you want to terminate the contract before the original ending date, it is required that you request this in written to accommodation@kth.se at least two full calendar months before the date you want to end the contract. For example, if you want to end your contract on 31 May, you must submit your request by 31 March. See notification deadlines in the table on under End your contract early . As a tenant, you are the person financially responsible for the full two month notice period.
