Welcome to a hybrid webinar with Erica Zeglio.

Abstract

Organic bioelectronics is a field that explores the use of organic electronic materials in applications that integrate, interact, or interface with biology. From the materials perspective, their organic nature enables chemical modifications to match the requirements for applications. From the device perspective, their ease of processing and conductivity enable their use as core component in devices, including biosensors (e.g., for glucose sensing) and tools for electrophysiological monitoring in vitro or in vivo. The Zeglio group at Stockholm University and AIMES tackles challenges in organic electronic materials and processes to increase the performance and sustainability of modern bioelectronic products. During this seminar, Dr. Zeglio will highlight her scientific and personal journey within this interdisciplinary field of research, as well as the challenges faced while crossing borders.

Host: Agneta Richter-Dahlfors.
