University of Zagreb is the oldest and biggest university in southeast Europe. The university consists of 29 faculties, three art schools and a centre for croatian studies. With more than 50 000 students, it is the largest university in Croatia. The university has a strong research focus and contributes to more than 50 % of the nations research.
