Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

I was set on studying human–computer interaction in Europe and applied to over ten universities. KTH immediately stood out for its cutting-edge research, vibrant campus life, and location in Stockholm—so when I received the offer, I couldn't wait to say yes.

What's the best thing about your programme?

Its sheer flexibility! Whether you're passionate about design, hungry for deep technical challenges, or eager to explore something entirely new, you get to craft your own path. It’s like having a buffet of courses—you pick exactly what fuels your curiosity.

Have you picked a specialisation track? Which one, and why?

Absolutely—I'm diving into Artificial Intelligence and Project Management. Before KTH, I led UX projects, so I wanted to blend that hands-on leadership experience with the latest AI and front-end engineering skills. It feels like the perfect bridge between strategy and technology.

Which courses have you loved so far?

My favourite courses have been Interactive Programming which is a coding playground where we build real React apps. It's intense, fun, and it has given me must-have front-end chops. Another course that I enjoyed is Sustainability in Media Technology where we tackle what "sustainability" really means for digital media and brainstorm ways to make tech greener. Really eye-opening and inspiring!

How does studying at KTH compare to your past experience?

After six years in the corporate world, returning to student life has been refreshing. I already know how theories translate into real projects, so I dive deep into the technical details with an eye for practical application. Every lecture sparks ideas for solving real-world UX challenges that I have encountered.

What's student life like in Stockholm?

It's a whirlwind—in the best way. My weeks include rowing with the KTH club, coding sessions, running with a local crew, research assisting for my professor, and Swedish lessons. And yes, there are bars right on campus (seriously!) where we unwind with classmates. Busy? Totally. Worth it? Absolutely!

Any advice for future KTH students?

Map out what you want—both academically and personally. Look closely at programme details, think about life in Stockholm (and Sweden!), and score each factor. For me, KTH’s mix of top-tier academics, vibrant city life, and Scandinavian culture topped every list—and it could do the same for you. Good luck!
